Book Descriptions
for Clean Your Room, Harvey Moon! by Pat Cummings
From Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC)
The Voice of Doom that Harvey Moon hears when he's settled down to watch Saturday morning cartoons is that of his mother, reminding him to clean his room. A humorous, rhyming text lists the ordinary and the extraordinary items poor Harvey has to find a place for while the colorful, angular illustrations amusingly depict the child's archetypal problem bedroom. (Ages 3-6)

This funny and whimsical picture book follows a young boy who has to clean his room before he can play with bright illustrations by Coretta Scott King Award winner Pat Cummings!
Harvey Moon’s room is a mess. Clothes are everywhere, sticky comic books are shoved under his desk, and there’s a cookie under his bed so old it’s turned gray and fuzzy. What a disaster! There won’t be any cartoons until his room is absolutely spotless. But what happens when Harvey discovers his idea of clean is not the same as his mom’s?
