Winter is Here

Winter is Here...

  • Listen to author Jessica Kulekjian talk about stories of nature and how animals face challenges of winter in this Meet-the-Author Recording for Hiders Seekers Finders Keepers. As a class, go on a nature walk or encourage students to go on one at home to look for evidence of the animal categories in the title where you live. Use the printable resource on page 5 of this teaching guide to document findings.

  • Cut out puppets or take-home door hanger crafts, try out “Bear Math”, and find fun tracing activities inspired by Winter Lullaby in this activity kit.

  • Show students the book covers of “winter” themed books on TeachingBooks, then have them create their own winter scenes!

  • Create winter collages or winter activity dioramas with ideas from this activity guide for Winter is Here.
